The Ukrainian Festival will feature ethnic music and dance, authentic food (pyrohy/pierogi, stuffed cabbage, sausage and more), beverages, a chicken barbeque, religious and ethnic vendors, baked goods, theme baskets and raffles and more.

З нагоди Дня Матері в Українському Культурному Центрі Дніпро 16 Травня відбувся святковий концерт, в якому взяли участь хор "Мрія", учні Школи Українознавства та студенти Спілки Української Молоді. Для кожного з нас мама - це найдорожча людина в світі.Та інколи ми недооцінюємо її ласку та турботу, або сприймаємо це як належне й не завжди подякуємо їй за це. Тож на День Матері є нагода кожній дитині висловити щирі слова подяки своїй матері. Студенти СУМу та української школи привітали своїх матусь віршиками про маму та вручили кожній з них квіти. У виконанні студентів прозвучали також українські пісні, а СУМівці зіграли ще й сценку про ріпку.За ведучу у цій сценці була п. Ганя Ткалич. Христя Мороз у своєму вступному слові продекламувала вірш професора Богдана Мороза "Три Віночки", в якому йшлося про любов до Матері Божої та матерів, до Батьківщини та її героїв. Про одну з героїнь, яка боролася й віддала своє життя за незалежність Батьківщини розповіла нам Оля Була. Треба віддати належне й хору "Мрія" та його керівнику п. Наталі за їх співучі голоси та чудові пісні.Завжди приємно чути українські пісні у їх виконанні, чи це ліричні, чи патріотичні, чи релігійні. А їх репертуарі "Мрія" незліченна кількість. На закінчення концерту діти вручили квіти всім присутнім у залі жінкам.
Vitali Klitschko Won on May 29 in Germany
WBC world heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko defended his title against European Champion Albert Sosnowski from Poland at Veltins-Arena Gelsenkirchen, Germany, on May 29.
Vitali Klitschko: “I am very happy to have my next fight in Germany again. The arena in Gelsenkirchen and the fans there are very special. I experienced that last year when my brother Wladimir had his fight there in front of 61,000 spectators. The atmosphere was simply electrifying.”
It was Klitschko’s 12th World Championship fight. His impressive record is 40 wins (38 KOs) and two defeats due to injury.
