The Western New York community held the Annual Ukrainian Festival - the celebration of Ukrainian cultural heritage, history and traditions. The festival was on Sunday, September 18, at St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church, 3275 Elmwood Ave, Kenmore, NY 14217. See Google Map
This community friendly event included the musical group \"Dunai\", performance by the Ukrainian dance group from Rochester, other live music, and church tours. Ethnic food plates included holubchi (cabage rolls), pyrohi (pierogi) varenyky, sausage, chicken barbeque, baked goods, and drinks, including Ukrainian beer. There were raffles, different vendors and children activities, including a clown and a lot of people won basket ruffle.
The program begins at 1:00 p.m. with singing of national anthems, and presentation of national flags, and greetings by local American, and Ukrainian, Organization Representatives.
