The St. John the Baptist parish sponsored an annual fundraising "Save for the Holidays" Easter Bazaar on April 4, 2009 at the Parish hall. Despite the slightly inclement weather, the parishioners and supporters from nearby cities and towns came to support this year's event. Young and old were attracted and captivated by various raffles, theme baskets, ethnic food and baked goods, Ukrainian Easter Eggs, "Trash and Treasures," and local vendors with diverse products. Everyone had an opportunity to win numerous prices.
In addition, the quests tried and enjoyed delicious ethnic food, such as holybci, pyrohy, Easter paska, and pastries.
The parishioners and quests spent an afternoon in a spirit of approaching Easter season with a smile and nobody left empty-handed.
The Easter Bazaar Committee and everyone who gave a helping hand before, during and after the Easter Bazaar deserve giant thanks. The fundraising event was a huge success. Thanks everyone who came to support the St. John the Baptist "Save for the Holidays" Easter Bazaar.
